The course has hosted two European Senior Tour tournaments in recent years.

Managers said the revamp put Stapleford on a par with the top golf teaching establishments in the Midlands.

Club professional Rich Alderson said: "This is truly millionaire's golf for just £750 on a course that has hosted two tournaments on the European Senior Tour."

Each new golf academy membership includes a free one-hour lesson with Rich and unlimited use of the course and pavilion.

The club also offers a year's membership for as little as £100, which consists of a free lesson and six rounds of golf.

Stapleford Park Country House Hotel is owned by the Sultan of Brunei's family.
