Steve Howard sets new City record
Leicester City striker Steve Howard set an unlikely club record against Coventry City last weekend.
His 55th appearance off the bench made him the most-used substitute in the club's history, beating the previous record of 54 held by fellow striker Trevor Benjamin.
Full-back Paul Konchesky's sending-off in last weekend's 2-0 win over the Sky Blues was also significant in the record books.
His departure took the number of City dismissals so far this season to eight – and equalled a club record.

Club historian Dave Smith said City also had eight players sent off in 1994-95 and 2004-05.
Smith said: "The figure for this season is actually nine if you count Danns' dismissal in pre-season against Real Mallorca in July."

“IbstockFox is right on the button and has just given the reason why we won't go up this season. No one has a better team than us. We just only turn up when there's a 'top team' to be beaten. If our well-paid heroes could be bothered to concentrate and sweat against 'lower' teams as hard as they do 'top teams' we'd go up as champions. We do have the players. Nigel hasn't yet got the mentality right. But he will. Gally in for Marshall (as these are top teams, next two games) and watch us go.”
