Student at De Montfort University gym 'stabbed in arm'
A student was taken to hospital with a minor arm wound after being attacked in a sports centre.
The 20-year-old was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment to an injury understood to be a stab wound.
Two Leicester men, aged 18 and 21, have been arrested and bailed on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following the attack at De Montfort University's John Sandford Sports Centre, at 4.30pm on Wednesday.
The university said the pair were members at the gym, but not students.
A spokesman said the assault took place in the weights room, which was shut for a "couple of hours". Security at the centre has been increased.
