Now, we know sequin hot-pants aren't typical everyday attire, but somehow 17-year-old Claire Valentine manages to pull the look off.

Teaming them up with black leggings "as you need to tone them down, obviously," she manages to stroll through town without drawing comparisons to Jordan.

Although, Jordan is one of her style icons and she's not afraid to admit it.

My Style points out that the former Mrs Andre doesn't wear many clothes to covet, but Claire is not having any of it.

"Her horse riding brand is amazing," she says.

"I don't mind saying I like her. I listen to music a lot and I like music fashion as well, people like Katy Perry and Lily Allen."

Despite her attention-grabbing look, Claire confesses to being quite a sensible shopper.

"I don't impulse buy," she says. "I'll go out knowing what I'm going to buy and I'll just shop and shop until I find it. I spend hours in town."

Next on her list of must-buys is a pair of denim harem pants.

But she'll have to find space in her wardrobe first. "I have two wardrobes and four drawers just full of clothes," she confesses.

"I work in town so I shop about once a week. Every time I go on a night out I buy something new."

There's even a Versace dress in amongst all the Topshop and River Island that has only been worn once.

"My dad bought it me for my 16th," she says. "I've got to find an occasion. I like all sorts though, I don't believe in buying for a name.

"If it's nice, I'll buy it, no matter where it's from. Otherwise you just look like a clone."
