Sunday's Pick: Ian Brown
LUCKY Leicester, we’ve got an evening of Madchester musical class to look forward to as the laid-back, simian swaggering Ian Brown comes to town.
The former Stone Roses frontman epitomises the heady days of the late 80s and early 90s, when a stagnant music scene was revitalised by northern ruffians in bucket hats.

“DMH is a joke, I was there last night, great gig. The place is a joke, I cant believe I could not take a drink in......what planet are they on. I am a grown adult, I should have that chioce, instead of being herded about like a piece of meat! And not to be able to get water, not wonder the joint is on trouble. Great crown & some really wannabe idiots! Ha”

“How are we doin?Well, not very well.Ive never seen so many idiots all in the same place at the same time before.Lets face it ,the last time we were in fashion it was 1996.Will that tracksuit top still fit?Er,no it wont.Desperate people trying desperately to fit in when the whole idea is to be yourself?.”

“I agree altho i must admit the sound and light made up for earlier shows in the tour. I thought the atmosphere was great. Browny was on form and looked like he was enjoying being there. 90min set - value for money. Shameful about water availability/drinks - pish poor if you ask me. DMH - SORT IT OUT!”
