An author will be telling people how to save the planet through what they eat.

Journalist Tony Wardle, associate director of animal issues campaign group Viva!, will be giving a talk, in Leicester, on Thursday, July 2.

It will take place at 7.30pm at the Friends Meeting House, in Queen's Road, Clarendon Park.

He will talk about how the large-scale consumption of meat, dairy and fish products across the world is causing damage to the environment.
