Teen, 16, in court over death of Abhay Jadeja, after collision in Gipsy Lane, Belgrave, Leicester
A 16-year-old boy appeared in court yesterday accused of causing the death of an eight-year-old by careless driving and aggravated vehicle taking.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged following an incident in Gipsy Lane, Belgrave, Leicester, on July 3.

Eight-year-old Abhay Jadeja died in the collision.
The 16-year-old, from Leicester, has also been accused of driving without a valid licence and insurance.

Ranvir Singh (21), of Harrison Road, Belgrave, also appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court yesterday.
He is charged with causing the death of Abhay Jadeja by aggravated vehicle taking on July 3.
The pair were granted unconditional bail and were committed to Leicester Crown Court, where their case will be heard on March 13.
