Teenager stabbed five times in St Matthew's in Leicester
A teenager was stabbed five times when he was assaulted by two men in the St Matthew's area of Leicester.
The 18-year-old male suffered back and chest injuries in the incident in St Matthew's Precinct which took place at about 4.45pm yesterday afternoon.

The victim remains in hospital undergoing treatment.
Detective Constable Conroy Crowe, who is investigating the incident, said: “From inquiries we’ve conducted so far we believe the victim was involved in an altercation with two men and then subsequently assaulted.

“We are in the process of studying CCTV from the area and speaking to local people, we would urge anyone who was in the area and hasn’t yet spoken to the police to come forward.
“This was an unusual incident for this time of day, it took place in broad daylight and we’re sure there were a number of people in the area at the time. “

“This is nothing less than Attempted murder and when they are caught a sentence reflecting that should be in order 20 years to keep this type of scum off the streets, you cannot say after stabbing someone five times you did not mean to do they did and should pay a high price for carrying a knife”
