Tennis: Loughborough University hosts top event
Loughborough University will welcome world-class tennis players to the town next week as the AEGON GB Pro-Series returns after a successful inaugural event in 2010.
There is British interest in both men's and women's draws as well as a host of international players.
The men's event has a strong entry list headed up by Italian Flavio Cipolla, who is ranked at 80 in the world and defeated Andy Roddick at the Madrid Open.
Other players to watch out for are Andreas Beck (Germany), who was ranked No.33 in the world in 2009, and Conor Niland, who this year became the first Irishman since 1977 to qualify for the main draw at Wimbledon.
Tara Moore leads the home contingent, while the overseas challenge is led by French players Elixane Lechemia and Myrtille Georges.
Entry for spectators is free during the week, with a £3 charge on the door (free for under-16s) on Saturday and Sunday, November 12 and 13.
