Thief rides off on 12-year-old's bike
A thief stole a 12-year-old boy's bike while the youngster was playing on swings in a park.
The child had left his BMX bike, which was less than a year old, unattended in the play area in Northfield Park, Leicester Road, Blaby.
The thief, who is thought to be aged about 17, stole it and rode it away.
The theft took place at 7pm on June 14, in Northfield Park, Leicester Road, Blaby.

Pc Kirti Chauhan said: "We believe the suspect passed the bike on to another youth he was with and then rode off on a moped.
"If you believe you may have witnessed the incident or you have seen the stolen bike since we would urge you to contact us.
"Any calls received will be treated in confidence."
The bike is black and has green monster stickers on the front, has green rims on the wheels and a hard plastic green seat.
The suspect was white, 5ft 8in, of medium build and had dark spiky hair.
He was wearing a black hooded top which had a white logo on it and dark trousers.

“well well well they have struck again,my son was robbed of his bmx,they followed him from blaby park and guess what did my homework and guess what one rides round on a moped,since then another i of my friends sons got his stolen same again on a moped,anyway if its any help i have the names and adresses of the erm ***** in question,they are at it on a daily basis,but funilly enough the police dont do a thing,so i did my own investigastions and know excatly who it is!|! unfortunately my son never got his new bike back but if i can help in any way i would be pleased to do so.”

“@ ILikeIt; have you seen how big Northfield Park is? - if the transfer was observed from a distance even binoculars wouldn't help... having said that, it's another appeal for information almost 2 weeks after the event - the Constabulary need to make these requests public much sooner...”
