Garry Adey 381 appearances 1967-81
A tough and durable competitor in the Tigers back row over 14 years from 1967, Adey is in the top 10 for Tigers appearances and also contributed 57 tries. A three-time Cup winner in the Tigers back row, he gained representative honours with Leicestershire, Midlands, England Under-25s, Barbarians and gained two England caps in 1976. He continues to serve the club as a director.
Tom Bleasdale 340 appearances 1949-64
During a distinguished career, Bleasdale captained the RAF and Combined Services after breaking into the Tigers team during his spell at Leicester University. He twice reached England trials and was named as a travelling reserve for England in 1952-53 but was considered unlucky to miss out on a senior cap. Another forward with more than 50 tries for Leicester, he also captained the club before moving to the USA.
Martin Corry 289 appearances 1997-09
One of the most decorated players in the professional game, Corry played in four successive Premiership title-winning teams with Tigers and back-to-back Heineken Cup finals before lifting both Guinness Premiership and EDF Energy Cup silverware as captain in 2006-07 and just missing out on an historic treble at the final hurdle. Now in his fourth season as captain in succession to Martin Johnson, Corry collected a World Cup winner's medal in 2003 and led England during the run to a second final four years later. He announced his international retirement after gaining 64 England caps and playing in seven Tests for the Lions.
Dean Richards 314 appearances, 1982-97
A talismanic presence in the back row, cries of 'Deano Deano' from the terraces were a feature of Leicester match-days for 15 years in a glorious playing career and then a trophy-laden spell as director of rugby. A league title winner in 1988 and again as captain in 1995, Richards gained a reputation for his mauling strength and sense of being in the right place at the right time as he gained 48 senior caps (a world record for a No.8 at the time) and played six Tests for the Lions.
