Time travel students remember
Students at a further education college have done their bit to remember people killed in battle.
Several parts of South Leicestershire College, in Wigston, were set out to take students back to wartime.
In a 1914 conscription office, students could pledge allegiance to King George V and write a will.
At a 1940s recruitment desk, girls could join the Land Army, be given an ID card and learn about clothes rationing.
Footage from the battle of the Somme in 1916, as well as newsreel of modern day casualties in Iraq, was shown.
Three soldiers, one of whom had served in Iraq, came to college to give a talk.
The events were organised by student liaison officer Alison Snowdon.
