Celebrity chef and restaurateur Tony Tobin is joining the judging panel for the British Pie Awards, in Melton, in May.

He is the latest addition to a panel which will also include TV chefs Phil Vickery and Rachel Green, author Tamasin Day Lewis, Evening Standard food writer Charles Campion and cookery writer Annie Bell.

The awards take place on Wednesday, May 19 in St Mary's Church, Melton.

The 12 categories include The Melton Mowbray Pork Pie, steak and kidney fish, vegetarian, apple, football and Cornish pasty.
