Police in Coalville are appealing for help from the public following a burglary in the town.

Burglars broke into a flat in Owen Street through a window and, once inside, stole a limited edition Manchester United football club watch.

The watch is more than 20 years old and had an engraving on the back of the clock face.

It took place sometime between 5.30pm on Thursday, January 25, and 6.30am the following morning. Details have only now been released.

Detective Constable Paul Burchell, of Coalville Police, said: "We would like appeal to anyone who may know the current whereabouts of this watch or indeed has any information about the person responsible.

"Please get in touch with any information you may have."
