“Leicester has far too many traffic light controlled junctions, and it's getting worse. To have lights on roundabouts that are on 24 hours a day is ridiculous as it contradicts the purpose of roundabouts in the first place. We should follow the example of other countries where some junctions are traffic light controlled at peak times only, the rest of the time they are give-way junctions…… Also has anyone else noticed that when the traffic lights fail, in most cases traffic actually flows better!”
