Transfer news: Leicester City confirm Michael Keane's loan spell extended
Leicester City have confirmed that Michael Keane’s loan spell from Manchester United has been extended for a further month.
The 19-year-old central defender will remain with the Foxes until January 31 and will be eligible to play in tomorrow’s FA Cup with third round tie against Burton Albion.
Keane initially joined City on loan with fellow United youngster Jesse Lingard in early November, but sustained an injury during his debut against Bolton Wanderers.
After returning to fitness in recent weeks, the England Under-19 international was back in the Foxes starting eleven on New Year’s Day, as Nigel Pearson’s men kicked off 2013 with an impressive 6-1 win over Huddersfield Town.
