Danns, who has just returned from a two-month loan spell with Bristol City, said he would announce which club at 1pm, but said it was not a club he had previously been linked with.

    “nothing to question here........

The manager is doing whatever deals he feels are right for the club and I support him in that.

Players will be used as necessary and if we just take a deep breath and look at the table we'll see that we ain't doing too bad!”

“why cant people understand that the loaned out players like danns are trouble/bad apples ?, the youth are out onloan for experience. no matter how good danns etc are/aren't their influence at training/matches/changing room isn't any good for lcfc . biggy big players are wasters and unfortunately there are alot of wasters in football due to money . the only support danns would get from me is a taxi out of the kp .”

“Geofflane, the initial deal for Mills was a loan, but the deal fell through, so Bolton came up with the money to buy on a permanent deal, good job we did, because Mills is not even in the team and a new manager who has dropped him, with all that I think Bolton would not wanted him at the end of the season, Pearson was right in getting him out the club and I feel he is right in loaning out Danns, if we can't get a permanent move for him”

“@TheGeoffLane....Mills signed for Bolton on a perm move, undisclosed fee but believed at the time to be £2 - 3 mill.

I think Danns is paying the price for his off field activities, but to be honest, I'm not that fussed as I felt he was a bit of a loose wire, especially getting sent off stupidly when captain...that wouldn't have impressed Nigel.

I think that we are now with a stronger midfield without him, as he is a player who likes attacking which would mean Danny Drinkwater wouldn't be as forward.”

“Danns is such a drama queen…

"I will announce who to around 1pm".

There is no doubt he's a talented footballer but he's using the last years of his footy career to kick-start a career in the media. You can only imagine how that goes down with Sir Nige.

Next time we see Danns perform it will be on 'Strictly…'”

“it will be mutual consent or an undisclosed fee in June - you just watch.

actually quite a decent tweet from Danns thanking people for support.

I don't really care what he gets up to off the field as long as it's legal - you work to live not live to work. If he is out of the team for footballing reasons rather than personal - then fair enough, hopefully it's mutually beneficial to him and the club.

    Good luck to him..”

“I bow to your knowledge, LCFC18018. I made the mistake of repeating what I'd read in the papers. That means one more year of Sven wages. So it'll be a loan or a pay-off. How much longer will Nigel have to wait 'til he's free? Mills is still a City player, after their season will Bolton still sign him? Will Huddersfield sign Beckford? Will Nugent and Schmeichel stay if we don't go up? Will Nigel still have a job? How does he sleep nights? Ah, the pay off if our short-fuse Thais give up. Managers must really love football to put themselves thru' this Hell.”

“Yeah, thankyou LCFCMike. My only source of 'Northern Championship tickets' is my old friend in Huddersfield (with Leeds connections). He forgave me for the 2-0 home defeat ( as Knockout was a bit special), he has NOT forgiven me for the 6-1. He did point out that only Marshall got a 'Good Yorkshire tackle' and he's since invited me up last Sat. in Jan. I'll be sat at their end, among his friends. And you post 'Another Terriers thrashing on the cards'. Some of you have wanted to shut me up for ages. Post like that and it may happen. Don't think I'll wear my scarf. Just my I.D.”

“Geoff - Danns signed a 3 year contract back in the summer of 2011 so he will still be under contract for next season. Not a free agent this summer. That being said, I still cant see him being back with us. Either we will sell him in the summer or probably another loan situation next season.”

“According to the Bristol papers DavidW is correct. It's season-long so we won't see Danns back here again with his contract up in June. It's Nigel's Way or the highway. I don't think it was the two sendings-off, I don't think it was Burton. I think it's his off-field career, and good luck to him. Nigel only wants 100% dedicated footballers. Dressing-room 'beats' are fun only.”
