Transfer news: Manchester United taking 'good look' at Leicester City striker Schlupp
Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has revealed young striker Jeff Schlupp has been training with Manchester United.
The 20-year-old has spent the last week training with the Premier League leaders.

Pearson said it was "a good opportunity" for the Ghana international.
Pearson said if nothing materialised from Schlupp's stint at United, then he would consider letting Schlupp go out on loan.

"He is training with them at the moment," said Pearson.
"I have allowed him to go there for a week. It is a great opportunity for him. We have a good relationship with United and I am not going to stand in his way to go there for a week's training.
"If anything comes of it, we will wait and see. They have had a good look at him.."
Schlupp has made five starts this season but the majority of them have been at left-back as cover for Paul Konchesky.
But Schlupp, who is a graduate of City's academy system, is highly rated as a striker and made an impact at Brentford during a loan spell in 2011, scoring six times in 10 appearances.
The move is the latest example of City's burgeoning relationship with United, which has seen Michael Keane and Jesse Lingard arrive on loan.

“Yorkie it's just down to what regime rules at a club at any one time. Pearson obviously doesn't rate Schlupp and can't wait to move him on by this means or by loan out with sign on options.”

“Chappy you number among a few who comment on Academy news and have shown interest in the development of our home grown talent.
If Schlupp is good enough to be given a "close look" by Man Utd. then he has an undoubted talent and we have a superb relationship with Man Utd.
If he is good enough to "interest" Man Utd without featuring regularly for us, then even though he may not get into the first team at Old Trafford, we must surely have to look again at our development policy from the Academy to the first team. How can we let such talent slip through our fingers IF a permanent transfer follows?
If this isjust a goodwill gesture to help Schlupp then fine. If not how can we let a player who has started only 5 games for us this season move to the team which is top of the Prem, and who will be next?
I'm sure we all know another Academy starlet who might also be registering on the United radar.”

“Dorset I think you are probably right. My best mate from golf is a Man U freak and he's heard nothing.”

“I see that Ferguson is now making abusive comments about a linesman as to why Manchester United did not beat Spurs and the FA have asked him to explain his comments. Well it's about time they came down strongly against this ignorant oaf. He has been getting away with murder for far too long. It's time they showed him he is subject to the same restraints and decent behaviour as everyone else. He claims Wayne Rooney should have been awarded a penalty. Well it took Rooney a very long time to learn to dive which isn't surprising but now he can't stop and some of his dives are so comical as to rate among the most ludicrous in the history of this dark art.”

“Always been a fan of Schlupp - even when he was in the Youth squad - as people like Yorkie and Dorset may remember me harping on about him at the time -
I would always hope he could be a big name at our club, but I'd never want anyone to stand in his way, and would sooner his move had long term benefits for our club - either financially or in building a relationship with a very influential side such as Man Utd..”

“Listening to you Kapero is like the guy advising the PM on Yes Prime Minister. A lot of clouded words that don't actually amount to anything. Im not being nasty saying this it's very clever. It would never convince me that as an employer I would ever have kept people on who just looked good about the place or might seem useful in some veiled capacity. No I'd have listened but they still would have gone anyway as indeed the afore mentioned players will prior to any season starting in the premiership. Dead wood out green shoots in please.”
