UPDATED: Roads flooded across Leicestershire
UPDATED 4PM: Flooding is still affecting roads in two areas of Leicestershire. Countesthorpe Road in South Wigston, is closed in both directions between Lansdowne Grove and Hospital Lane and Slash Lane in Sileby, is also closed both ways at the Sileby Road junction.
Flood alerts remain in place at the following locations: River Wreake and tributaries from Stapleford to the River Soar at Syston; Loughborough urban watercourses including Black Brook, Wood Brook, Burleigh Brook, Grace Dieu Brook, the River Soar in including tributaries from Sharnford to the River Wreake confluence at Syston and the Lower River Soar in including tributaries from Cossington to Redhill at the River Trent.
11.40am: New flood alerts have been issued by the Environment Agency for two Leicestershire rivers.
There are now alerts in place for the River Wreake and the Rothley Brook.

The alerts follow warnings this morning about low-lying land being flooded around Billesdon and Glen Parva with some roads being affected.
Other areas liable to flooding include Great Glen, Kilby Bridge, South Wigston and Blaby. Slash Lane near Sileby is currently closed to traffic and river levels throughout the county are continuing to rise.
