Unacceptable
Robin Johnson (Mailbox, July 22) suggests I should not refer to the participants of fox hunting as being looked upon with disgust.
Well yes I should Mr Johnson and yes I do.
I agree that the overall sight may look resplendent but that is as far as I will concede on this matter.
To derive pleasure in the tracking, chasing and killing of a defenceless animal is unacceptable and mind boggling in our modern times.

“No sorry folks - there are no excuse however 'kind' and tolerant we try to be, (far kinder than the hunting fraternity are to creatures far smaller than themselves) for chasing a terrified creature to exhaustion and death. As I've written elsehere on here - just imagine that these were unloved street kids, puppies, kittens perhaps or the elderly! Enough already! Cannot believe we're even still discussing this - end this stupidity and leave the ban in place.”

“I agree completely with Karin. Hunters I have spoken to really do seem to genuinely believe the info they're fed on why they should be allowed to continue to chase and kill foxes for 'fun'!
Odd and quite frightening really when you consider the scientific links between psychotic killers and the abuse of animals.
Where I don't agree with Karin is 'making small allowances for them'.”

“I do make (very) small allowances for the hunters as they seem to have been brainwashed as children to think it is ok to pursue something to its death.”
