Wigston: Community Speedwatch is looking for volunteers in the area. Its aims are to reduce motorists' speed and to raise the awareness of inappropriate speeding.

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer for Community Speedwatch, can contact Pcso Helen Danson on 0116 222 2222 and when prompted, key in her collar number, 6581.

Oadby: Best-selling author and storyteller Rose Impey will be at Oadby library today telling children's stories.

Parents and carers are invited to bring along their children aged five and over to the session, from 4pm until 5pm.

Wigston: Guthlaxton college is presenting a concert entitled Bye Bye Blues. It will feature Guthlaxton big band, concert band, soul band, choir, staff choir, chamber choir, string ensemble and soloists.

It will be held in the main college hall on June 25 and 26 at 7.30pm. Tickets, available from the college reception and cashier, are £5.
