Lutterworth: Graham Johnson, speaker at Lutterworth Evening Women's Institute, told members about his life in the catering industry.

Linda Giles, Sheila Macdonald and Eileen Revill received birthday plants.

On June 11 there will be tales from a farmer's wife with Jane Barnes.

Meetings are on the second Thursday of every month at the United Reformed Church at 7.30pm.

Quorn: Soroptimist International of Loughborough held a spring fair at Quorn Village Hall which attracted more than 200 visitors and raised over £600 for charities supported by the Soroptimist club.

Stalls sold good quality items, including food.

Another fair is being planned.

Seagrave: The Historical and Archaeological Society of Seagrave meets on the third Monday of the month at Seagrave at 7.30pm.

The varied programme can be see on its website. Admission costs £1.50 for members and £2.50 for non-members. Accompanied children go free.
