Wigston: High tea with the mayor will take place at Wigston Magna Methodist Church, in Cross Street, on Saturday, July 4, from 3pm.

Oadby and Wigston mayor, Councillor Kevin Loydall, will be raising funds for Wigston Lions.

Evington: Churches in Evington is to hold a Pentecost Party in Evington Park on Sunday May 31, starting at 11.30am.

There will be games, a bouncy castle, face painting, egg-and-spoon and sack races, free barbecues music and drama.

Oadby: St Peter's Church, in Wigston Road, will hold a spring fair on Saturday, May 30.

There will be a bouncy castle, book stalls, tombola, plants, cakes and refreshments.
