Unspeakable
You recently carried a story headlined "Is fox hunting to return?" (Mercury, August 26). I sincerely hope not.
In the same paper there was a beautiful picture of a fox relaxing in a garden. How anyone could sanction seeing a lovely animal ripped to pieces by dogs is beyond me.
I endorse Oscar Wilde's description of fox hunting: "It's the unspeakable chasing the uneatable."
