Police have released video footage showing the chase and arrest of two members of a gang of six car key burglars who targeted high-performance cars around Leicestershire, Warwickshire, and the West Midlands.

The footage shows police capturing the burglars after they targeted a family home in Long Itchington, in Warwickshire.

The robbers had threatened a father of two and reversed the stolen Range Rover into a police car, injuring two officers.

Last week 20-year-old Simon Edward Badger, of Coventry, was jailed for eight years after admitting conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to rob and dangerous driving.

Terrance Harris, 22, of Coventry was sentenced to eight years after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to rob.

They were caught after Warwickshire Police mounted an operation to catch them and the gang was jailed for a total of 36 years on Friday. Detectives from Warwickshire worked closely with Detectives from Leicestershire Constabulary.
