Barry Claricoates, secretary of the Stokes Wood Allotment Society, said: "They searched all of those huts but only took a couple of things.
"We think they were probably looking for power tools but people don't leave those things there.
"They have caused a lot of damage by breaking in and that is going to cost people a lot of money."
Police community support officer Peter Smith said: "The allotment has nearly 70 members who have all put so much time and effort into their plots. They have been left upset by this latest spate of crime.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw anyone acting suspiciously."

“What is wrong with people that they have to ruin the enjoyment of others tending to their allotments and not hurting anyone else. Hope they are caught and made to pay for all the damage plus compensation”
