It was bang on time (!) and I have to say impressive enough to draw a reasonable crowd of train spotters.

The Express was on its way from London Victoria travelling to York.

“There it was gone! London to York but why? Was it publicised in the Merc? So many things don't get any coverage.
The Events section is pretty useless giving only that day's functions - most people get their copy in the evening. Surely info for the FOLLOWING day is what is needed?
Thursday's copy is the exception admittedly but I'd like to see more of Leicestershire's events included and supported.”
