In Uppingham, Glaston Road had to be closed between the A47 and North Street East on safety grounds.

“My road was certainly not gritted, a connecting main road to Leicester city...it was slush and ice, very dangerous..Early hours of this morning I saw some heavy duty vehciles following what I presume to be the gritter...first time id seen them since the snow had fallen...I measured 9cms of snow in untouched parts of my garden at 3pm yesterday, by the time I saw the gritter it was around 11-12cms..”

“4.50 p.m. The photo shows a gritter on the Main Street in Newtown Linford. I do not think it gritted today. I have just driven this road to Anstey and back and it is thick with snow. Granted the gritter has been out on other occasions this week.”

“Many of us disabled cannot have carers as they cannot park where many of us live . Contacted road gritters looks like many of us very ill fighting diseases cannot be cared for because our carers cannot get to us on our roads”
