Burton Overy: The Women's Institute met in the village hall when Margaret Pollard was acting president and guest speakers were Rebecca and Rachel from the Body Shop.

They outlined the history of this retail chain which was started with just one shop by the late Anita Roddick and explained how she had developed her natural beauty product ranges.

Members had been thanked by Rainbows for "goodies" they had made for the hospice, including cakes and biscuits.

They also heard that more than £35 had been sent to the county Air Ambulance, and the final report on the countywide Wildflower Survey in which they took part had been received.
