Waitrose, Market Harborough to open on 27 September
Waitrose will open the doors to its new store in Market Harborough on Thursday 27th September.
Despite this, Waitrose is a welcome addition to Market Harborough and has already created 100 jobs, the majority of which have gone to local people living within 15 minutes of the new store in Springfield Street.
Sales at Waitrose have grown from £412m in 1982 to an incredible £5bn today, earning them a 4.5 per cent market share. For the past three years it has grown faster than any of its Big Four rivals – Tesco, Asda, J Sainsbury and Wm Morrison.
