Leicester Walking Club returned with individual silver and bronze medals from the Midland Championships held at Warwick University.

Jasmine Nicholls was second in the senior women's 5k race in 27min 50sec with her clubmate, Emma Achurch, third in 28.04.

The men's 10k was won by Birchfield Harrier Thomas Taylor, who lives in Leicester, in a time of 51.54.

Chris Berwick (fourth, 59.05), Colin Vesty (seventh, 61.32) and George Smolinski (ninth, 65.03) helped Leicester to the team runner-up prize behind Birchfield.
