For fear of repeating him, all I'll say is we jumped at the chance of compiling a list that reflected the wealth of talent out there.
In a sense these are people that have already made it – many of whom you will already know.
We hope our next two projects can take that to another level.
The first, as you will have seen on page one of Business Weekly, is a new set of awards to honour the very best business people out there.
Our panel of judges is about to start looking for the best managers in our leading small, medium and large businesses.
They will also be looking a young executive of the year and someone to take the overall title of Business Executive of the Year.
If that weren't enough, we are also putting the final touches to our Rising Stars magazine, to be published in the Leicester Mercury next Tuesday.
We have spent weeks drawing up lists and shortlists of the people we think will be key to making our area a vibrant, prosperous and attractive place as the country pulls itself out of recession.
These are the young people with the ideas, the motivation and the potential to maintain our reputation as a place to do business.
If you find your name included in any of these lists, well done. If not, maybe we'll be writing about your achievements in 2013.
