Wednesday's pick: Ice Age 3
Pedants, look away now. The Ice Age franchise is back. And this time there are dinosaurs, too.
Yup, dinosaurs, after the Ice Age. In giddy disregard for the conventions of natural history.

You may well roll your eyes
Plus, they’re co-existing with large mammals. Yeah, try and fit that on to your time lines, teachers.
So this much is clear. A fair amount of belief needs to be suspended before you watch Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs, which opens in cinemas today.
The usual gang has been reunited for this third installment of computer animated fun, and they’re joined by British comedian Simon Pegg, who provides the voice for a dino-hunting weasel called Buck.
This time around, Sid the sloth yearns for a family of his own so he nicks a nest of dinosaur eggs.
When the young carnivores hatch, their narked mother roars through the camp, carrying off her brood plus Sid to her nest.
And so the sloth’s pre-historic posse – Manny the woolly mammoth and Diego the sabre-toothed tiger – embark on a perilous rescue mission. Again.
They are accompanied by the love of Manny's life, Ellie, who is preparing to give birth to their first mini-mammoth.
