STAFF at Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital are appealing for help raising vital funds for the centre, after a break-in saw almost all of their kennels stolen.

Metal thieves are believed to have broken into the hospital in Kibworth Beauchamp in May, taking most of the veterinary kennels used to house sick or injured wildlife.

Staff now need to raise more than £30,000 to repair and replace what was lost, as well as continuing work to expand the hospital.

Angela Downham from the hospital said: "We have lots of events coming up, now we just need bums on seats. We have to raise just over £30,000 and so far we have managed about £5,000.
