Winning is a habit - and we've got it, Leicester City's Kasper Schmeichel
Winning is becoming a welcome habit for Leicester City, goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has said.
City made it five consecutive victories on Thursday night when they beat Wolves at the King Power Stadium and had a perfect 100 per cent league record in January.
City have edged close victories over Burnley, Middlesbrough and Wolves in recent weeks, all courtesy of winners by David Nugent, and Schmeichel admits City are on a roll and will be difficult to stop.
"Both the team spirit and attitude is excellent," said Schmeichel, who is preparing to make his international debut for Denmark tomorrow night.
"They say losing becomes a habit, but so does winning. We are doing that at the moment and we have to keep it going.
"We have a brilliant team. The players in front of me are all top-class and all bring something different to the table.
"We have a good variation and balance in the team.
"It has been Nugent recently and it has been Woody (Chris Wood) previously who have come up with winners and we need everyone to chip in.
"There are a lot of games coming up but that is good. You look forward to those types of months.
"Hopefully, we can come out with some good results which will spur us on even further."
When Bakary Sako fired home a stunning equaliser for Wolves, it was only the third goal that City have conceded in eight games.
Schmeichel said the whole back five deserved credit for their excellent defensive record.
"We are communicating very well at the back and things are going well," he said.
"When you have defenders like Michael Keane and Wes Morgan in front of you, you already have a very good start.
"We are very confident. We are not conceding a lot of goals, we are working exceptionally hard and we want to keep getting clean sheets.
"You have to be mentally strong and, in games like Wolves when the pressure is on, you have to be strong enough to hold your position, stay high and not drop too deep. That is when you give teams too much room. That is what we have been doing this season. We have been very solid."
