A member of staff at the pharmacy, who did not want to be named, said: "She was very shaken.
"We comforted her for a few minutes until the ambulance arrived."
Malcolm Lever-Jones, who runs Expressions Framing and Gallery, in Coventry Road, said the accident happened outside his shop.
He said: "I was working in the back when I heard a loud bang.
"I went into the front of the shop and saw a car had crashed into a bollard outside.
"I am glad the bollard was there otherwise she would have probably ended up right inside my shop."
Two fire crews from Market Harborough and one from Wigston were called to the incident at 4.28pm.
The road was closed for half an hour.
