A woman has been fined for fly-tipping after letters addressed to her were found dumped outside a supermarket.

Iboiya Horvath, of Frankson Avenue, Braunstone Town, pleaded guilty to dumping rubbish outside Marks & Spencer, in Fosse Park, and was fined £300. Blaby District Council said she was caught out after letters addressed to her at two different properties were found among rubbish wrapped in a duvet cover.

According to the council, she was invited to two interviews at Blaby District Council but did not attend, so the case went before Leicester magistrates.

Councillor Guy Jackson, portfolio holder for regulatory and neighbourhood services, said: "Blaby District Council has a zero tolerance to fly-tipping and will thoroughly investigate all complaints and incidents. This fine highlights that the offence is also serious in the eyes of the court."
