Woman injured after gas leak in Leicester home
A woman in her 60s had to be taken to hospital after a gas leak in her home.
Emergency services were called to a bungalow in Bale Road, Northfields, Leicester, at about 9.20pm, on Monday.
Fire crews found a gas hob had been left on which ignited after the woman tried to light a cigarette.
There was a small amount of damage to the kitchen.
She received minor injuries and was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary as a "precautionary measure".
