Husbands Bosworth: Work is due to commence on the restoration of the village's Welford Road Cemetery wall.

At the recent meeting of the parish council, members agreed to fund the rebuilding work.

Part of the wall, between the cemetery and the neighbouring allotments site, was rebuilt some time ago following subsidence.

A new access gateway was installed recently so that large plant can be brought on to the site if necessary.

Funding for the project has been made available from the council's cemetery maintenance fund and work is expected to start early in the new year.
