A fourth top-line Grand Prix rider has been added to Magnus Karlsson's testimonial meeting.

Bjarne Pedersen will appear alongside Freddie Lindgren, Nicki Pedersen and Kenneth Bjerre at Beaumont Park on Saturday, March 17.

Also in action will be Lee Richardson, a British rider of some standing who has raced at the very top with Team GB and has, in the past, graced the Grand Prix series.

It takes the number of riders to double figures for this all-star event with Karlsson's two older brothers, Peter and Mikael, Kenneth Bjerre and Ludvig Lingren also confirmed.

Pedersen has a huge pedigree, having won the World Cup championship with Denmark in 2006 and 2008.

Down the years, the 33-year-old has ridden at the highest level in the Elite League, most notably in the golden era of the Poole Pirates, where he won 10 major team titles, before turning out for Eastbourne in 2011.

This season, he will be plying his trade with the Birmingham Brummies, hoping to solve what was a problem for them in the No.1 position last term.

"Speedway's one big family these days and although I have never actually ridden in the same team as Magnus, of course I meet him all the time in the airports," said Pedersen.

"I have never ridden at Leicester but it's always good to come to a new track.

"Even after riding speedway for more than 20 years I still get excited about that."

The addition of Richardson to the meeting is welcome. So far, there is a distinct Danish and Swedish flavour but British speedway fans will be looking forward to seeing the 32-year-old in action.

The Hastings-born star, a former World under-21 champion, has ridden for Poole, Eastbourne, Swindon and Coventry, and this season will be competing for Lakeside.

It's a big week for Karlsson, who makes his debut on ice at Telford on Sunday.

"I don't know anything about what it's like," said the 30-year-old Swede, who will be aiming to boost the Elliott-sponsored Leicester Lions in the Premier League, which starts next month.

"I will be borrowing a bike, so I obviously don't have any big hopes about it, but I am certainly expecting the meeting to to be fun."

Karlsson will have a testimonial stall at Telford on Sunday where he will be chatting to supporters and signing autographs.

His Lions team-mate, Jan Graversen, will also be testing his ice skills at the meeting.
