A class of young yoga enthusiasts will be receiving their certificates after completing a course.

The first graduates of Blossom Yoga for Children, aged between three and 13, have been learning at Knighton Parish Centre.

Tomorrow, they will receive their certificates for completing the first stage of the course, the only one of its kind in the UK.

There are five grades and two age categories – three to seven-year-olds and eight to 13-year-olds.

Yoga is gaining in popularity in the UK and may even feature in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Jacinda Butterworth, from Blossom Yoga, said: "Other sports like karate, dance and swimming have grading systems and we wanted to create one for yoga too.

"What is great about yoga is that it is inclusive so any child can take part and feel like they have achieved."
