How to beat the bullies
A guide is to be published to encourage children in care to speak up about bullying.
Leicestershire County Council has produced the leaflet, which features advice on different types of bullying and directs children to sources of help.
The guide is being launched as part of Anti-Bullying Week, which starts on Monday.
It will be given to all the young people in local authority care in the city, county and Rutland.

Ivan Ould, Leicestershire County Council cabinet member for children and young people, said: "This innovative project has been a partnership with young people across three authorities and is an excellent example of ways in which we involve young people in our work. Children and young people can be bullied for a wide range of reasons, including being in care.
"We want to make sure this vulnerable group are given the right information and support about bullying."
On Monday, as part of Anti-Bullying Week, pupils are to be encouraged to wear blue as a united stance against bullying.

“This topic has such a big impact and very helpful to all parents in which they can manage to support their kids when it comes to bullying. But, we must also not forget that no matter what support we are giving to our kids still there are some tendencies that cannot be controlled by time. I always look forward to the safety service in which I know can make a big help to the safety and protection of my son and that's exactly the reason why I registered him to SAFEKIDZONE. This is a mobile-based application that can summon immediate help from family and friends. And if really needed they can route the call over to the nearest 911 without causing delay of help.
