Indian dance duo to perform in city

Belgrave: Milapfest is delighted to announce an exciting new national tour of contemporary Indian dance in May/June 2009.

Nirupama-Rajendra, of Abhinava Dance Company in Bangalore, is a unique dance duo who present cutting-edge and innovative productions.

After a successful 2006 British Tour, Nirupama and Rajendra return to the UK to share their brand-new creation Kathakitathom with 10 dancers and a powerful musical score by Praveen Rao.

Kathakitathom showcases creative contemporary explorations of ancient Indian dance and theatre techniques in a unique and pulsating atmosphere.

Leicester's performance will take place at the Peepul Centre on Friday May 15, at 8pm in association with CICD and Shruti Arts.
