Back in business
The Mercury temperature display is back in action, readers will be pleased to know.
The electronic thermometer on top of our building, which had been broken for a number of months, was repaired by an engineer on Monday.
Repair man Robin Spence, of Dorset firm Dynamic Displays, said the thermometer wire was broken.
"It could have corroded, and I did find a bird's nest up there, so I did think maybe the bird thought the wire would make a nice bit of nest," he said. "But I think someone has cut it off because it was such a neat cut. It is repaired now."
