A contemporary craft fair has showcased the talents of the county's top designers.

Afternoon shoppers visited the LCB Depot in Rutland Street, Leicester, which hosted the fair on Saturday.

LCB marketing assistant Dave Sizer said: "Lots of people have been looking at the stalls selling crafts and contemporary design products.

"There were all sorts of things on sale in ceramics, wood, metal and textiles.

"As well as companies from across the region selling their products, we had an exhibition by three artists in residence from De Montfort University."

The 25 stall-holders included Leicester company Andrew Tanner Design, which makes mugs, plates and other ceramics for top retailers in London, Hong Kong and Paris.

The event was held to coincide with the St George's Day events around the Cultural Quarter.

It formed part of the St George's Day dragon hunt, with children visiting venues around the city area to find a picture of a dragon in each one.
