“Try the 27,28,29 and 29a services from St Margarets Bus Station to Ratby ,Groby and Coalville. That is if they turn up on time.Passengers are regularly let down by late or cancelled buses. The same applies with the 27 and 28 services from Groby to Leicester. Very annoying if you have to wait up to an hour for a bus to arrive.”

“Strange, this is my bus service and I seldom have cause to complain, however, last week the self same thing happened - waited ages and then 2 turned up together. As for the driver, on another occasion, who must have seen me approaching and then promptly closed the doors in my face and ignored me when I tapped on them before he had even started to pull away. Probably the same driver as mentioned.”

“The 84/84a/85 and 87 all late or small horrible stinky buses that are not safe! I think its about time Arriva were taken to task, however the council say they do not govern the bus services oh that right Leicester city council sold that off too. If you want to go town from Gilmorton get Roberts bus the 73 its brilliant cheaper warmer the drivers are lovely and always on time!”

“Is it any wonder people use cars instead of buses when the level of punctuality, and customer service extended by the bus driver is so appallingly low? Examples given here will not win over motorists when the mad scheme for bus lanes on Lutterworth Road is completed.
Clearly the buses are not being run for the benefit of those wanting to use them, trouble is people cannot be bothered to complain, so nothing gets done.”

“On one occasion while waiting for a 74 bus to arrive to take me into town , three buses passed on the way out , a single decker followed by a double decker and then another single decker , the first bus back was the double decker, explain that one. On another occasion after a complaint about a bus not turning up at all I was given the reason being was that the driver had possibly finished his shift, what at 9.30 in the morning!, how ridiculous can it get. It's a total waste of time complaining because nothing ever gets done.”

“When I am in Leicester, I have to be honest and say the bus service is horrendous. In London, you can catch a bus every 5 minutes whereas in Leicester you have on average 30 minutes to an hour wait, which is very poor. I have no idea how people in Leicester get anywhere on public transport (buses)!”

“Well if they answered your letter that is a start, you have to trust that they will act on your complaint for now.. like you said, you will see.. don't expect anything instant - there may be plenty of other things to consider first, just give them a little reminder if they forget.”
“Arriva buses service 31 & 31A from Leicester to Oadby has to be the worse service in Leicester & Leicestershire. Catching the buses from Leicester to travel into Oadby last week I was waiting for over 30 minutes from the Haymarket stop. The driver was rude and very unfriendly as I asked the driver for the best deal on a ticket. I noticed about three buses turned up together and they were all late, as I heard, others moan and say typical service. I feel many people catching this service feel the same. I would like people to contact Arriva and try to encourage action towards a better service from the 31 & 31 A route.
