“Well the bus fairs go up because they pay more for oil, because every government we have likes to interfere in other affairs, to support rebels. Said rebels then turn against the west and attack the oil supply... causing a massive increase in the price. This isn't helped by the likes of China who demand more oil as they are developing, because people in the west, including those in Leicester want cheaper products and the Chinese provide that. Because they want cheaper products and get them from abroad there are less jobs in manufacturing, agriculture, retail (thanks to internet - often foreign usa companies), etc. I wouldn't be surprised if the staff are having a pay rise to, as they don't work for the public sector so are not obliged to freeze pay.”
“Haymarket Bus Station is reported to go under a £10.5 million revamp by the city council and mayor. I agree on one hand that the bus station needs to be improved but where is this money coming from? I have noticed bus fare has gone up and for many buses are a luxury way of travelling due to their over priced tickets. How about the council working with bus companies to reduce travel fares first? Many people can't afford the bus fare, so why build a new bus station with less customers using buses.”
