“Why on earth has this been created as it's own topic?
Pearson should be given the full season. If he's not moved us on by then, fair enough if the owners make a change. There's no point in speculating who should replace him as the managers available will be totally different by then!”
Monday, September 17 2012, 12:55PM
“Well the owners are ambitious and a manager who cannot win away is never going to get them to the premiership. I would imagine they are considering a change. Needs to be done sooner rather than later to give promotion a chance. Harry Redknapp, Mick McArthy ,Alan Curbishley, Pep Guardiola, Alex McLeish all available. Get that cheque book out lol”
Monday, September 17 2012, 1:11PM
“Give NP every chance to get it right( another 2 months)
Some of these names are no better than NP- do you really want Mcleish , mcCarthy?
It will not surprise me if the Thai's are interested in Redknapp but dont think he will want it- I dont think he is right for us”
Monday, September 17 2012, 2:56PM
“This is ludicrous. 5 games into the season and 2 of the 3 away games lost have been 2 - 1 to teams who were in the Premiership last season. If I have a criticism of NP it's that he should have shored up the central defence to a greater extent than he has. Are there any better managers out there? Probably. Are there any worse ones? Without a shadow of a doubt. If we're going to change the manager after every couple of defeats we'll never get anywhere. How long did Man U give Ferguson? 5 years. And people want NP out after 5 games!”
Monday, September 17 2012, 4:22PM
“ok some fans didnt want him back , but many like myself did, cus we realize he is the right man for the job , now stop these pathetic snidy digs at pearson and give the man a chance to build a team , i dont care if it takes 2 years of inconsistent results.
as long as he gets the job done”

“It's not 5 games though is it truefan,
it's a comprehensive thrashing by burton,
it's failure to mount a sustained challenge to the playoffs last year,
it's our inability to turn over any type of goal deficit, and rescue even a point
it's our blaming of luck rather than our failure to influence a game
it's the managers alienation of players he doesn't like, which divides supporters,
and shrewdly it ends up with fans blaming 1 player rather than the whole team.
It's the subsequent failure to replace that player or any of the others sold with anyone that looks better.
It's the constant trotting out of the same old excuses the manager trotted out in November last year, December Last Year, January, February, March and April.
He said it wasn't his team - to a certain extent he could be forgiven - upon arrival he released some players he though would not feature,
He reinstated some of his old guard who were still here.
He Divided the dressing room into - With him or against him,
On arrival he said he would see what his squad were like.
A week later he said he was very happy with the squad, they just needed more self belief and they were "The Strongest in the Division and that he has ever managed"
A representative then said in February he thought the squad weren't good enough, and in april stated that the rebuilding was underway and a solid experienced centreback was top of his list of requirements. Something he didn't sign at all during the summer.
He has constantly vowed to improve the team, but this improvement is yet to materialise.
At least we don't draw matches anymore - we either win or lose.
Nothing fickle about a considered analysis. At what point do you call time? When we are relegated?
Fickle was getting rid of Holloway during his first closed season and proper transfer window. Ok it paid off (or maybe it didn't in the long term) His only crime was - as the 3rd manager (5th if you count the caretakers) - that season - not to be able to keep a patched up squad in the Championship and stop the rot. He has proven himself beyond doubt since he left Leicester,
Can you say the same about Pearsons Career?”
Tuesday, September 18 2012, 11:49AM
“Seems to me that people have their own agendas, get the feeing that if you didnt want a particular manager from the start you cant wait to start criticising and calling for heads, do you really think that changing the manager now is the answer? who will come in? will he want his own players? they usually do, so lets start again shall we, right this season off already get a new man in, then not start too well next season and after 5 league games sack him and start all over again, i get the feeling these (fans) were probably the ones calling for martin oneills head after a poor start. (fickle fickle fans) keep the faith.”

“truefan - not saying I am ready to chuck the towel in either - but there seem to have been more negatives than positives since he returned. And ultimately it's not my towel to chuck in.
But as a supporter, it's not just me that wants him to do well, it's a question of how long do you give him, and as lcfctillidie sad - has he got the skills to sort this out?”
Tuesday, September 18 2012, 1:23PM
“I'd like to get Mourinho, Guardiola or posibly Alf Ramsey. I'd also like Messi and Kagawa in midfield and Aguero up front.
Back in realityland, though, I'd like to give NP the time and support he needs to get the job done.
I'd also like to see an end to these perepetual kneejerk (emphasis on the "jerk") reactions whenever we have a slight setback; but that's probably fantasyland again, eh?”
Tuesday, September 18 2012, 2:26PM
“Whoever the new manager is, I suggest we start the campaign for his dismissal right now. This will save time later.
I take great pride in being the first LCFC fan to campaign for the dismissal of the new manager - who is clearly useless:
SACK [INSERT NAME] NOW! HE IS CLUELESS. I THOUGHT PEARSON WAS BAD BUT [INSERT NAME] IS EVEN WORSE. WE NEED TO STOP CONCEDING GOALS AND START SCORING THEM. IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.
[INSERT NAME] OUT!!”

“Glad to hear it City, I believe that you should only post if you actually have something to say or contribute, others may simply do it to fill what would be an otherwise empty day and that's their choice but it's not for me. One identity and real opinions, it's the way forward ;)
In terms of all the good managers out of work at the moment, there are plenty who have enjoyed some success but even most of those have black marks on their copy books, whether it's on the field or off the field. It's a hell of a league to get out of no matter who is in charge and Leicester have made a seriously large number of managerial changes just to go virtually no where. Paying off managers and backroom staff, paying off/selling cut price the 'old managers' players, bringing in new players etc etc it can't go on surely.”

“may 2013 nigel pearsons leicester city win the play off final against nottingham forest 3-2 and king power immediately give him a 3 year contract extension and promise funds of 50 million to establish us in the premier league.
may 2014 leicester city finish 12th in the premiership
may 2015 leicester city finish 8th and pearson signs a conyract extension for 5 more years
may 2016 leicester finish 3rd and win the fa cup
may2017leicester are crowned premier league champions and reach the quarter finals of the champions league
may 2018 leicester win the champons league, the premier league, the fa cup, the league cup , but are runners up to anstey nomads in the leicestershire cup.
june 2018 pearson reluctantly resigns from the leicester city job after being offered the post of england manager to qualify us for the 2022 world cup that is being held in afghanistan for the first time. he stated his biggest thrill in his time at leicester was having the full support of dobbo et al during his reign and his biggest dissapointment was getting his tactics wrong agains anstey
july 2018 REDKNAP arrives as leicesters new manager, unfortunately its JAMIE as harry now sits dribbling in a corner in an old peoples home
IT COULD HAPPEN”

“I am not saying he was right or not (Sven). I am saying he was not given the time, and to think he was the England manager for so long, he has proven he can manager at the top level. NP has not proven this and I feel he will not be able to. Someone like Harry has the experience etc. A big manager is needed to push Leicester to the next level e.g. the top 6 places!”
Wednesday, September 19 2012, 4:52PM
“Svens downfall was messing about chasing a certain Nicky Maynard for too long,
and not just paying the Yak what he wanted - and getting on with he job of securing other targets. And he was too keen on playing players out of position to fit them all in.
NP doesn't have the right character to get the best out of the sort of players needed to keep this team in the top flight if we ever get there. My opinon obviously.”
Thursday, September 20 2012, 11:58PM
“Soopafoxesfan - that'll be 6 games (8 if you count the two league cup matches)
Davepridmore - I love the way you preside over the forum, judging everyone else, without ever giving us any evidence to suggest you would be any less prosaic. I actually had nothing against your first comment - I just wondered why you needed to make one at all being as you think the dialogue is silly. I still don't have anything against you - if your time is not finite - then it's up to you what you do with it.
Rachel - why the need to ask the same question as C10 asked, halfway through the other topic you started (again nothing against it, just curious - as we now have 2 topics with the same question - along with all the ones on the LCFC board - if you can get a word in edgeways between all the bickering that is.)”
Friday, September 21 2012, 3:35PM
“Wow ! Give the manager time!
You want instant success yet you know that will not come ? NP is a good manager who will build you a great team if given the chance !
True success is built on solid foundations and not by dropping managers after 3 months of a new season ?
If Hull city take all 3 points from you on sunday how much extra pressure will that put on him and LCFC board ?”

My nickname has been that since school.
It's got a lot to do with my real name - and yes it does have a lot to do with dog food.

Thanks for your hilarious humour, if only you'd known It's a bit like calling Holly Branson a Virgin.. I bet she get's it all the time..
I couldn't care less whether you trust Nigel - it's got nothing to do with me. But your attempt at a personal remark is pitiful. To the point I am happy for it to remain so you can be pitied.

“Why don't you stop feeding this media driven rubbish and get behind your team? Speculating about a management change that's not going to happen and name dropping dozens of managers who would do no better than the current management team is as redundant as it is annoying. The team are playing well, they are moving up the table so support them and stop whining.”

“Y'know what,,,,,I moan and complain every single day of the week.....if it aint at my missus (and gord knows I got fekkin good reason ) it's about the weather or work, or my aches and pains or any number of things I could think of. But you know what??....it don't do a blind bit of good or change owt. So to all you boys and girls out there who think that by crying and screaming for NP's head will achieve all your puerile and ill conceived wishes I've got just one message for you all........Let the man do what he's paid to do and build us a team to not only get promotion but one that will endure and deliver stability and make us all proud and happy to say ''we love Leicester City football club'' Trust the man....he WILL deliver!”
Monday, October 22 2012, 8:47PM
“Wiltsfox, if either the Venkys or Tony Fernandes come sniffing round the best thing NP can do is hide under the table. Why would he want to go to either of those places?
Of course, it could be that Sir Alex is keeping an eye on how he develops the Old Trafford cast-offs with a view to naming NP as his heir apparent.
Now that would be a temptation.”
Monday, October 22 2012, 9:02PM
“Why would Dougie Friedman "want" to go to Bolton? Having been to both, Sarf London at its worst is infinitely preferable to Bolton.
Now wouldn't it be a laugh to see NP end up at Old Trafford any deny Mourinho his inheritance? It seems that Sir Alex has a good relationship with NP to allow his young players to work under his tutelage.”

“C10 - what alias I put on my Profile in place of my name is of relevance to you.
C10 again - you are right you cannot just win a few games and expect to stay top all season.
So judging by the form of the rest of the league, in your expert opinion, apart from Crystal Palace and Cardiff - who else are playing as well as City? We now have a cushion in the playoffs and a gap on 3rd place - which affords us a couple of mistakes.
If we carry on as we are it's now up to the others to close that gap, and every point we take makes that more difficult and less likely the longer it goes on.
Like everyone in the know has always said, Points in the Bag are always better than Games in hand. At the moment we have points in the Bag, without anyone having games in hand over us.
And we are more than half way to the safety target - which is the first milestone which takes pressure off everyone. So what is your point exactly?
As for adds to the posts... when has it ever been about quantity of replies?
I could send myself a hundred replies under many names, it doesn't prove anything, and if that's why you come on here it says a lot about your life and character.”

“Leicester is the inform team in the last few weeks. They are doing very well and credit to NP and the boys for this. I feel it is important to see where the team is come Christmastime, this will show if they can be seen as challengers or not? As many points are still to be played for, 46 games and so far only 12 have been played. As I have said now for the 100th time, it is far too early to say if they can keep this form up. However, I hope they can. What part of this is hard to understand? The Championship includes teams such as Blackburn, Middlesbrough, Cardiff, Leeds and many more, which all have big history and on their day can challenge. I feel the Championship this season will have a lot of us and downs; I look forward to Saturday's fixtures.”
Thursday, February 14 2013, 10:07AM
“I feel the cups were not really top priority for Leicester City. They have made a very good start to the year 2013; however they are now 3 points behind second place which is fine as they have a game in-hand. They must not let the gap grow, if they want to push for the top two places, Leicester need to keep winning. I feel the next few months will tell us where Leicester is, if they good enough, I feel yes. NP started very poorly as we all know (hence this post), he is turning things around and I feel he can gain promotion this term.”
Thursday, March 14 2013, 11:01AM
“Still early days yet let's wait until the end of the season first. I have to admit that the recent performances have been dyer. We are still in the top six just and if we do not go up I have to agree with others Leicester will be on the hunt for a new manager. Play-off winners?”
Sunday, April 14 2013, 10:37AM
“City c10 the "expert" - in the words of this topic..
Sep 17 2012 - "We all know NP days are about over",
What happened next? (5 game winning streak - topped the table),
then a little dip before Christmas, then
Unbeaten in January - and Second place with points to spare?
He may well go at the end of the season, but at the moment - it would appear what was claimed in this topc - that "WE ALL KNOW" - proves that we didn't ALL KNOW, and some of us never said we did know.
What a pointless continuation of a topic which has a heading which is wrong, generalising the knowledge and opinions of fans, speculating an appointment which didn't and won't happen. I despair.”
Sunday, April 14 2013, 10:43AM
“Rachel "if he doesn't take us up - he will be sacked for sure",
how sure are you. You don't have to sack him if his contract is up, or at a mutually agreed termination point. If we lose the playoff final, I think you may see him back here next season.
David - "NP Job won't last long if we fail again this season" - as above - it'sreportedly in his contract, so they won't have to sack him
Just wait and see what happens rather than reviving this topic, or at least comment in one of the more current ones.”
Sunday, April 14 2013, 1:04PM
“Rachel I noticed this link in the LCFC website

“Nigel Pearson days are numbered as stated here. He has failed to live up to the promise, he has a very good contract and has not fulfilled what was expected of him this far.
I feel that he has poor people skills as half the players sign by either Sven or him have now moved or have been put out on loan. The major problem is that these player were or on high wages which is costing the club, thought they are not playing for the team.
Harry might be unemployed himself as QPR look set to be relegated this season. The problem with Harry is that he is very much a cheque book manager and will bankrupt most teams (look at Portsmouth).
I would not want Harry here at Leicester City, the return of MON might be worth a try to lift him and the team. Money talks, the owners of Leicester are very good at splashing the cash.
We will have to wait and see.”
Sunday, April 14 2013, 4:13PM
“I wouldn't want Sir Harry either (he isn't a sir). I imagine most City fans just want the team to win more games forget the manger the players look poor on the pitch. The players have no drive or hunger, this can be down to poor management and self-belief. Sunderland look a whole new team since MON left and Paolo Di Canio has taken over (they beat Newcastle 3 - 0 today) away!”
Sunday, April 14 2013, 6:27PM
“I watched the Newcastle v Sunderland game today Martin & Tony and I have to say PDC was like Mourinho sliding on his knees in celebration. You never see NP showing any emotion on the side-lines apart from he standing there with his arms crossed all match. He has little passion it seems.”
Sunday, April 14 2013, 8:57PM
“this post is entirely on topic, and therefore entirely within the house rules.
What has one managers control of his emotions, and another got to do with anything?
What if PDC doesn't win another game, will he be fondly remembered for his knee slide? Passion means nothing if it's a fruitless.
I'd sooner have Arsene Wenger than PDC any day. Keegan was very passionate, where did it get him? Popularity isn't everything.
I don't even like Nigel Pearson, he is aloof, he is arrogant, he doesn't take responsibility for his actions, and he doesn't handle expectation or players very well. With a decent man manager and coach in the dressing room this season, I think things might have panned out differently. I wouldn't be so presumptuous as to say he's lost the dressing room, but he hasn't made the best of what is available, whether that is for personal reasons, I don't know. But he is here until the end of the season, so you might as well support the players, and if you don't think they are playing for the manager, at least get them to play for the supporters.
this post is entirely within the house rules.”
Tuesday, April 16 2013, 3:48PM
“It looks like I was right! Many months later it has gone full circle it appears. Nigel Pearson started the season very badly and lost to Burton Albion back in August. Then he turn Leicester around and they went on back-to-back wins and were sitting in second place around January time. Then the wheels fell off and since then they have only won 1 game from 13 tries. I fear for them this season, it will take a lot for them to get form in the last 4 games. I wish them luck.”
“Who should be the next Leicester City manager? We all know NP days are about over…Arry has been linked but the chequebook must come out…Is there anyone else who can transform Leicester City?”
