“It's useful when Tesco is next door to Aldi, as in Syston. That way I can do my main shop at the cheaper Aldi and anything I can't get there (which is very little these days) I can nip next door to Tesco for.”

“Why is there so many Tesco’s in Leicester’s city centre, I have counted at least four of them in an area of around just one mile. There is one near the train station, one just off Granby Street, one opposite Argos and the council offices in central Leicester. I feel there needs to be a law to stop Tesco taking over the supermarket monopoly. There is a new Sainsbury’s near the train station and one old Sainsbury’s near the job centre, then one towards the Golden Mile. There is no Asda, at all and a CO-OP in the Haymarket, with Iceland across the road. Tesco by far have the most outlets with the city centre. I personally feel this is not fair on the other supermarket chains and refuse to shop there because of this. Do others feel Tesco’s are taking over the supermarket chains?”
