Asylum seekers told their harrowing stories to children at a county high school.

The visitors, who fled from the Taliban and made their way to Britain, put on workshop sessions for students at Market Bosworth High School.

They wanted to help the youngsters understand the fear and uncertainty refugees go through when they leave their home country.

Pupils were challenged to think of what made them feel like outsiders.

School spokesperson Jean Campton said: "It is a very powerful workshop and challenges attitudes to immigrants and refugees."
